What began as a single treehouse soon evolved, over several years, into a small treehouse village of several units built on the natural bases of trees deep in the Karnataka jungle. Surrounded by elephants, giant squirrels, leopards, tigers, and countless birds, the site lies four kilometers off the nearest village, with water carried up from a natural spring. Building there meant camping through monsoon rains, cooking on fires, and hauling all materials by lorry to the nearest village and then up the hill by four-wheeler—a true adventure.

The first unit emerged as a treehouse reached by a six-meter staircase, with a kitchen, a large balcony, and a sky deck for sleeping under the stars. A six-meter bridge leads to the second unit containing the bedroom, shower, and toilet. After living there, Krish, the client, began hosting guests and decided to expand the project further.

The third structure—the Pyramid Treehouse—was built in our workshop as a modular unit, then dismantled and reassembled in another tree. With its own spiral staircase, balcony, toilet, and shower, it adds another cozy retreat. Future bridges will connect it to a lookout deck and onward to connect the Units as the project continues to grow.
