The BCD in the heart of an indian metropolitan city is a prime example of a treehouse inspired stilt house despite all odds. The Bhartiya City Development group building dozens of skyscrapers had dreamt of having a treehouse as a welcoming entry for the newly built city's school. An arid area at first, they had transplanted common raintree next to which #99 The BCD arose. Built on 6 tyre post stilts, a comfortable staircase accesses a balcony joint with a large room double doors on either side. The space gives a robust whilst playful feel with its rounded and stainglass tinted windows, a several types of wood with a variety of colors, and a spacious high ceiling. Towards the other side, you can access or ascend the house with a climbing wall made of reconditioned tyres. Just as we believe, this project shows that a treehouse starts with a dream, the conception of which is possible in the most unexpected places.
